Pre Arrival Support

It is important that the process of resettlement begins before the geographic move and continues until a family is able to operate normally in their new community. To assist us establish what you and your family’s individual needs are we have a comprehensive questionnaire which we hope can be completed before arrival. It is also useful if possible for a pre visit to occur before the final move to help familiarise the family with their new destination.

Introductory Kit

An information file tailored to you and your family’s needs as outlined in your questionnaire. This will be filled with current and updated material on not only the practicalities of living in your new community but also events that will be occurring that reflect the culture.

City Orientation

Before major decisions are made it is advisable to take a tour of the city. This will benefit you and your family by:

• Giving you a feel for the city and an overview of the facilities on offer.
• Establishing which areas you will feel comfortable living in.
• Showing you the options for shopping.
• Explanation of public transport systems and driving in the city.

Home Search

Whether you need rental accommodation or plan to purchase we can assist you. While we recommend the services of experienced real estate professionals we are on hand to provide independent and unbiased advice to help you choose you home. We work with a variety of agencies so you are shown all properties on offer that suit your needs. The homes will be well screened so your time is not wasted looking at unsuitable properties. We will also advise you on the documentation and leases.

Education

This is carefully integrated with your home search so we can advise you on zoning regulations. With our guidance you can identify best school options and special needs. We can also arrange school inspections and help you with the process of enrolment.

Settling In and Follow Up Service

Our local knowledge will help with you and your family’s specific needs and wants. We will assist: you with the connection of utilities, getting bank accounts, insurance’s, school uniforms, childcare, service people, trades people, health care system, professionals, employment assistance for partners etc.
